Recently, Salvatore Daidone Head of Process Controlling, Barilla G. e R. Fratelli, Sara Galbano Performance Controlling, Barilla G.e R. Fratelli, Mariya Todorova Performance Controlling, Barilla G.e R. Fratelli held a seminar on “Barilla G. e R. Fratelli S.p.A.: how strategy drives change in our controlling systems”.
The seminar was open to students of Strategic Control, Master of Science In International Management. Prof. Robert Lo Bue, visiting Università Cattolica – Faculty of Law and Economics – from ESB Reutlingen, chaired the seminar.
Barilla’s staff brought to the classroom a vivid, hands-on perspective on how and why performance management systems change over time. The topic – a researched one in the context of old institutional and neo-institutional theories- is a relevant one for practice as more and more companies need to adapt to change and market volatility.
In Barilla’s case the internationalization process drove changes in the performance measurement systems. The seminar brought together professionals, professors, students and alumni of the international students and scholars to fuel the debate on one of the multiple perspectives of management within the international community.
